Trust & safety
Anjdi is operated by Hassane Koukou. This page describes the safety practices we run today across our homestays in rural Morocco. It is maintained by the Anjdi team and is not an independent certification.
Our pillars
Verified hosts
Every host is interviewed by our team, with ID verification and an in-person home visit before going live on Anjdi.
Secure payments
Payments are held securely and only released to the host 24 hours after check-in, so your money is protected end-to-end.
Guest protection
Every confirmed booking includes basic guest protection covering misrepresented listings and major safety issues.
24/7 support
A real human from our Morocco-based team is reachable any hour of the day in English, French, Arabic, or Darija.
How we keep stays safe
Three checkpoints, from the moment a host applies to the morning after you check in.
- STEP 01
We vet the host
ID check, home visit, safety walkthrough (smoke alarms, gas, exits), and a sit-down conversation with the family.
- STEP 02
We protect the booking
Funds are escrowed at checkout, with clear cancellation rules shown before you pay.
- STEP 03
We stay on call
If anything feels off on arrival, message support from the app and we move you or refund you — fast.
What's covered
Traveler safety tips
A few habits that make rural travel smoother and safer.
- Never pay or communicate outside of Anjdi — off-platform requests are not protected.
- Share your itinerary with someone you trust and keep your phone charged.
- Read recent reviews and look at host response times before you book.
- Respect house rules and local customs — most villages are small and tight-knit.
In an emergency
For life-threatening emergencies in Morocco, call 19 (police) or 15 (ambulance) first. Then reach Anjdi support so we can coordinate next steps, relocate you, or process a refund.
Report a concern
See a listing or message that doesn't feel right? Tell us. Reports are reviewed by a real person within 24 hours, and we never share your identity with the host you reported.
